Meghan O’Brien is a residential real estate expert in the Des Moines metro. She’s also an economics instructor and consultant. While pursuing her graduate degree in economics, someone told her women couldn’t fish so she became a professional fisherman pursuing marlin, tuna and game fish on the East coast. She fished until 5 months pregnant with her oldest. She received a M.A. and ABD PhD in economics from George Mason University.  When not working or with her kids, you’ll find her on a riverbank with a fishing rod in her hand.
