Meet The Draper (Our AirBNB)

Neither Adam or I actually remember the precise moment we decided to buy the house. He was on a work conference call, I was scrolling Facebook looking for a home for a client when, bam, I saw my dream home on another agent’s feed. Minutes on market-30.

We had an accepted offer by 9 pm that evening and it has been a thrilling and wild ride since. It is our forever home, that we will share for now with other MCM fans as an AirBNB. We have poured blood, sweat and tears into every aspect of the home to ensure that this MCM time capsule is preserved.

What makes this such a delightful and wild experience as an agent is actually being my own agent and general contractor. I phoned realtor/preservation friends for advice a lot when needed on the preservation/remodel side, relied on my network of contractors to do the work we couldn’t and then my family and friends came in with critical saves every time I needed it.

The other cool thing is finally doing the thing for myself I have helped countless numbers of you do, invest in real estate. I said to Adam, “This home has nearly broken me, literally, I’ve had a concussion, a lung injury and a broken toe. I can’t wait to do it again.” And that is 100 percent true today, The Draper launched Saturday with it’s first overnight guest and received the first of what we hope to be many five star reviews. It is being booked for future photo shoots, private parties and overnights which is exciting. I am hoping to see many of you at a client appreciation event there this fall. Invites coming soon!
